August has been an important month for the organisation and a lot of our members here in the IAMA. Firstly, let us start by welcoming two of our new members - Al Nameani Emirates, and the Federal Republic of EFCC! Both of them are extraordinary Java-based architects and we are proud to have them in the IAMA family.
Secondly, we're glad to see that the IAMA's participation in the 2018 Minecraft Expo went smoothly, with a lot of positive feedback from the community. Its been great to meet extremely talented and professional architects from the other side of the globe, and we would like to once again thank the organiser for inviting us to this absolutely amazing event. However, we regret to announce some bad news for two of our members - whereas the Commonwealth of Aldovia's failed to pass its Internship and had its observation period extended - twice; the Commonwealth of Australia was demoted to an Intern member upon violating the Code of Conduct over four times. The HR will re-assess their internship again on the 7th September, and the 17th September respectively. On the other hand, we've received a number of good news from a number of members. First off, we would like to congratulate the Federal Republic of Newland on its fourth anniversary! As one of the founding nations of the organisation, Newland's involvement in the IAMA has been pivotal to the organisation's development since the very beginning and we are very grateful to have them with us. Meanwhile, a hearty congratulations to the Republic of Peaceland, who's recently signed with TeamVisionary, making them the second IAMA member to be part of the international build team, after Kae of Antares Federation!

It is without doubt that this July has been paramount for the organisation's development. Throughout the month, we've seen two new members join the IAMA family: the Commonwealth of Atmore, and Wilzon Minecraft - the creator of the well-known Skyscraper City. In addition, we've also seen two returning members: Miusername1 - President of the Federal Republic of Newland; and Joshua Deleon Vega - former President of the Republic of Avrin. Both of them are founding members of the organisation and we're absolutely delighted to see their return. Once again, a very warm welcome to new, and returning members to the IAMA!
These successes, however, are balanced by some failures. This month, we've seen the withdrawal of Belakraine SFR, whom the Executive Council has been investigating the legal basis for their expulsion shortly before the announcement. This suggests an error in our Internship System, as Belakraine was promoted to a full member merely 10 days before its withdrawal. As such, the IAMA has set out to reform the Internship System, resulting in the Maturity Act, imposing a stricter criteria for the maturity of our members - meanwhile softening the age limit to a minimum of 13 (recommended 15) in accordance to the European Union's GDPR. In other news, we're excited to announce that the IAMA has been invited to participate in the 2018 Minecraft Expo! The exhibition will take place between the 4th August, to the 14th August. Find out more about the event on its official twitter account, @MinecraftEXPO! This June has yet been another very important month for the organisation. Firstly, we've seen three new members joining the IAMA family: Legacy City, Ghidora's World Republic, and Belakraine SFR. This makes 18 of us in the IAMA - once again, welcome to all three new members!
Secondly, more progress has been made in the IAMA Collaborative Project. On one hand, Antares authorities had began the terraforming of the Island of Guanza as promised. On the other hand, we seen the Avrin-Newland Joint Declaration, the Treaty of Ceylon, stating that the sovereignty of the City of Ceylon is to be passed to the IAMA City Council, and implemented into the Collaborative Project! [5th July update: FR Newland readmitted to the IAMA on the 1st July and has given the final go-ahead on the Ceylon implementation into the Collaborative Project.] Thirdly, we've made couple changes to the Charter of the IAMA. Notably, we've given the City Council more power in the city planning of the Collaborative Project, making it similar to the Westminster-derived system used by the General Assembly. For more information, please read the full document in our archive! This June, we've seen the transition of power in the Republic of Avrin. After nearly two years with us, Joshua DeLeon Vega - one of the four original founders of the IAMA - will be leaving his position as the President of Avrin. Here, we wish him all the best in his developments in Avrin. Meanwhile, we'd like to congratulate the new President, Jazztine Shane Lorenzo Sy for winning the election! We're looking forward to working with the new Arvinian administration. Last but not least, we'd like to congratulate Antares Federation for their successes in the 2018 BuildCon - they've certainly showcased their world to its maximum potential. As to HighBlock State, a hearty congratulation to their first map release! This May has been a pivotal month for the IAMA. First and foremost, we've changed our name from IAMN, to IAMA, and with a new name, brings a new identity. Rather than a fictional inter-governmental organisation, we are now a forum for Minecraft architects around the globe.
Secondly, we've seen four new members joining the IAMA family: Kevin Chan, United States of America, Cuban Republic, and the Republic of Mexico. This makes 16 of us in the IAMA. As the organisation grows, the greater our strength as we unite to initiate the IAMA Collaborative Project. Initial plans have been made in the Executive Council, and we aim to begin terraforming by the start of next month. Once again, a warm welcome to the four new amazing architects! Thirdly, we've initiated the Weekly Showcase on the IAMA Twitter account. Every week, we will showcase one of our member's builds, with a short description attached to it. Follow @iamamc on Twitter to stay posted! Last but not least, two of our members: the State of Lexerland, and the Republic of Astoria, have both released updates to their maps. Another member, Antares Federation, is going to compete in the upcoming 2018 BuildCon in June! A hearty congratulations to the three aforementioned members, and a round of applause for the time, and effort they have put into their respective maps. We wish them all the best in downloads of their respective maps; and to Antares, best of luck in BuildCon! We're pleased to announce that the IAMN has been renamed to IAMA! (International Association of Minecraft Architects)
After four days of debating, and voting, the General Assembly has reached a majority decision to rename the organisation, accept independent members, as well as to update the Charter's preamble, and thus our aims. For more information, please read the full version of the Charter of the IAMA here. We believe that this change would be a major milestone for us, as this would make us more pragmatic, and professional as Minecraft architects! Yesterday (7th April) marks the beginning of the second IAMN Summit, hosted by the Antares Federation!
(From left to right) The respective leaders and representatives of NXUS, Lexerland, Antares Federation, HighBlock State, and the Republic of Peaceland attended the opening ceremony at the IAMN Pelgo and discussed a wide range of matters! Official statement to SSOC informing them of their expulsion due to inactivity for over 3 months and their inability to provide necessary documents for their application.
According to authorities of the Antares Federation, Guanza Island, where the IAMN Collaborative Project would be held, will be terraformed and ready soon. Henceforth, we aim to begin construction of the city by Q2 of 2018.
From 1st January 2018 onwards, @louisfranco20 and his unrecognised state "France" shall be permanently banned from the IAMN after being found to violate two of the articles in the Charter of the IAMN. For more information, please read the following statement
One year ago today, (7th November) the Avrinian President Joshua Deleon initiated bilateral talks with the President of the Republic of Peaceland President, NickMiao0928. To their suprise, this marked the beginning of the IAMN. Not only did the two establish diplomatic relations, the two also discussed about establishing an international organisation. Shortly after, the Federal Republic of Newland and NXUS were also invited to discuss about this matter.
And thus, the four founding members established the International Alliance of Minecraft Nations, initially aimed at acting as a forum for the exchange of ideas, and to establish diplomatic relation between member states, allowing all to benefit and improve oneself. Today, the IAMN consists of 12 members. (and counting!) Our aims has expanded from not only those as aforementioned, but also to start collaborative city project, thereby known as the IAMN City. To celebrate this special occasion, the latest version of the Charter of the IAMN was made public for the first time in our archive. Despite being the IAMN's official founding document, it is incomplete to this very day. Yet, we aim to complete, sign, ratify and begin our collaborative project by January 2018. Stay tuned and follow us on Twitter for updates! Last but not least, happy first anniversary to the IAMN! |
